This coin is a rare and interesting type that Dannenberg noted as mint unknown. Mehl believed it to be minted in Magdeburg, however the reverse of Dbg. 610 and obverse of Dbg. 611 bare close resemblance to this this piece which were, according to Dannenberg, minted in nearby Merseburg. Therefore, this coin could likely also be from Merseburg or an imitation.
