England. Edward the Confessor. 1042-1066. AR Penny (19.5mm, 1.12g, 6h). Pointed Helmet type (BMC viia, BEH F). London mint; moneyer Beorhtmund. Struck circa 1053-1056. +EDPERD REX O, helmeted and draped bust right, cross-tipped scepter in front / + BRIHTMVND ON LV, voided short cross with pellet-in-annulet center and triple crescent ends; annulet in fourth quarter. BEH -; North 825. Near Extremely Fine.

The moneyer for the present coin is unrecorded by Jonsson and Van der Meer in their study “Mints and Moneyers c. 973 - 1066”
