England. William II Rufus. 1087-1100. AR Penny (20mm, 1.36g, 11h). Profile type (BMC I). Northampton mint; moneyer Saewine. Struck circa 1086-1089. +PILLELMREXI, crowned and draped bust right, holding sword in front / +SEPI ON HIIMTIIN, cross pattee over a cross fleurée in saltire. BMC 43; North 851. Very Fine, usual flat spots, slightly wavy flan. Rare.
