England. Cnut the Great, 1016-1035. AR penny (17mm, 1.40g, 4h). Quatrefoil type (BMC viii, Hild. E), London mint; moneyer Godhere. Struck circa 1016-1023. +CNVT REX ANGLORV:, crowned bust left within quatrefoil / +GO DER EMO LVND, quatrefoil with pellet on each cusp, long voided cross with each limb terminating in three crescents, pellet in center. BEH 2384; North 781; SCBI 36 (Berlin), 635 (Same dies). Fine, crack in center, piercing, peck marks.
