Thrace, Cherronesos. Ca. 386-338 B.C. AR hemidrachm (15.9 mm, 2.32 g). Forepart of lion right, head turned back / Quadripartite incuse square with alternate quadrants deeper. In one quadrant: dot and monogram, bee in opposite quadrant. Cf. SNG.Cop.831-833. VF, well-struck, two very small edge splits, light gray+green patina as old cleaning ages gracefully.
