A ROMAN SILVER ANCHOR-TYPE BROOCH WITH INSCRIPTION
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
Nicely toned bow brooch with an anchor-shaped head. The foot terminates in a large globular knob. The triangular catch-plate with an incised Roman cursive inscription in two lines. With spring and pin, spring bent. Some scratches; minor deposits.
