D N ARCADI-VS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Arcadius facing slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with shield, decorated with horseman attacking fallen foe, over left shoulder. Rev. NOVA SPES REI PVBLICAE / CONOB Victory seated right on cuirass, inscribing shield set on her left knee with XX/XXX; behind cuirass, shield. Depeyrot 54/2. RIC 22. Well struck, lustrous and perfectly centered, a lovely example. Small die break on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
