LUCANIA. Sybaris. Circa 550-510 BC. 1/3 Stater or Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 2.57 g, 12 h). VM Bull standing left on dotted ground line, his head turned back to right; all within border of dots. Rev. Bull standing right on dotted ground line, his head turned back to left; all within border of dots; all incuse. Gorini 4. HN Italy 1736. SNG ANS 849. SNG Lockett 460. Rare and with beautiful iridescent toning. Struck on a slightly ragged flan and with minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
