Maximianus, AD 286-310. AE Antoninianus. (22,3 mm. 3,7 g.). Siscia. IMP C M A VAL MAXIMIANVS P AVG, radiate, cuirassed bust right. Rev. CONSERVATOR AVGG, Emperor standing right, holding sceptre, facing Hercules, standing left, leaning on club, altar between them. Gamma in right field. Mintmark dot XXIAI dot. RIC V-2, 581; Cohen 70. Struck on a broad flan, symbolic heroic bust on the obverse resembling the image of the emperor with the Hercules.
